Title: Point-Scoring

Written and performed by Jessica Mabel

This one act play is an empathic comedy highlighting the preposterous process that potential claimants have to go through when making a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) application.

The PIP assessment operates on point scoring results gathered by an assessor(s)/interviewer(s) on the basis of personal information provided from a completed Q/A form in the first instance, followed by a telephone/video call where the applicant is asked to run through their answers on the application and further explain, give evidence and reasons for their need for help with extra living costs based on health matters and disability reasons.

'It’s only fair to assume the application process would be accessible for people with those difficulties, right? POINT-SCORING has evidence otherwise' Jessica Mabel (writer and performer)

Where: R&D SHARING at Gazebo Theatre, Wolverhampton - POINT-SCORING
